Discord Rolls Out Major AI Update

All aboard the AI hype train

Discord is the latest platform to jump on the AI hype train—and they're taking the whole ChatGPT integration to a new level with four major AI updates all at once:

  1. Their mascot, Clyde, is powered by ChatGPT now. He can share gifs, recommend playlists, and even be an additional online friend if your actual human Discord friends are offline.

  2. They're rolling out their AutoMod tool that can alert mods when server rules are broken. Very handy!

  3. They're also experimenting with AI-generated conversation summaries that bundle messages into topics.

  4. They're also opening an AI incubator to fund developers and startups who want to build AI on Discord.

The AI rollouts are currently on beta, with Discord hoping their 350 million registered users to help them spot possible errors to their AIs.

Discord's only one of the latest tools to embrace AI (GPT, specifically) joining the ranks of Snapchat and Slack.
