Zoom Gets New AI Features

Zoom has enlisted OpenAI's help to inject AI intelligence into virtual meetings and conferences, providing users with smarter, more efficient experiences.

Zoom is joining forces with OpenAI to supercharge its AI smart companion, Zoom IQ, with the goal of streamlining workflows and boosting productivity.

By merging AI models from various sources, including in-house creations and those from OpenAI, new features include chat thread summarization, idea organization, content drafting, and meeting agenda creation.

Zoom IQ will assist users in catching up on meetings through summaries and text-prompted whiteboard generation, as well as offer meeting recaps and email content suggestions.

Launching by invitation in April, these updates position Zoom alongside Slack, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365 in the fast-paced AI-driven productivity tool arena.
