📌 BIG NEWS

Sam Altman said he's "a little bit scared" of ChatGPT

Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, recently said in an interview that he’s “a little bit scared” of ChatGPT.

He’s made similar statements before. Just a month ago, he literally said we’re not that far away from potentially scary AI.

An interesting statement off the heels of GPT-4's splashy release last week.

So, what's gotten him so worried?

One is that not everyone is putting the same safety guardrails that OpenAI has put on when they use GPT-4.

He also mentioned that AI can eliminate many jobs, but he also pointed out that it can pave the way for new (even much better) jobs.

But the person in the driver's seat of this tech being a little scared is a good thing. Sam himself even says so: "I think if I said I were not, you should either not trust me, or be very unhappy I'm in this job."

He's turning these worries into making sure he's in regular contact with governments and regulating bodies.
