πŸ“Œ BIG NEWS

Meta's Foray into AI Will Revolutionize Social Media

Meta's generative AI technology is set to revolutionize social media use and advertising for companies.

Andrew Bosworth, the company's Chief Technology Officer, said that AI would be incorporated into its apps this year, including AI personas and AI-powered social media ads.

In a previous announcement, Meta's Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg said AI personas would help people in various ways across the company's social media apps and services.

The generative AI-powered ads, meanwhile, would enable brands to target different types of users on Facebook and Instagram.

Incorporation in Metaverse is also on the way as the company explores AI's potential in creating virtual worlds.

Meta signals its big push to AI this week with the release of a new AI model called "Segment Anything Model" (SAM), which can detect objects in images and videos, even those not included in its training.
